Pretrial and Discovery Motion Practice

The Judge will review and rule on most routine and non-dispositive pretrial and discovery motions as well as dispositive motions in consented cases. Motions must be electronically filed and a form of order submitted in Word Perfect or Microsoft Word format to: Judge Cherry's Chambers email address

Unless otherwise ordered, briefing on such motions shall be done in accordance with Local Rule 7.1(a).

Normally the Court will not, as a matter of course, schedule a hearing on a pre-trial motion. A telephonic hearing or in-court hearing may be scheduled with counsel if the Court deems it necessary before a ruling is made.
