"Fast Track" consent is designed primarily for pro se litigants. In this procedure, the parties consent to magistrate judge jurisdiction, waive jury trial, waive dispositive motions, and agree to very limited discovery. The court will schedule a bench trial on the merits usually within six months of the filing of the plaintiff's complaint. "Fast Track" cases are usually uncomplicated cases which can be tried with few witnesses and exhibits and usually in one day.
