Electronic Court Filing Unavailable During Upgrade

The Court’s case management/electronic filing system (“CM/ECF”) is being upgraded to the new Next Generation CM/ECF system (“NextGen”). Accordingly, at 12:00 p.m. (EST) on Friday, November 5, 2021, the CM/ECF system will be unavailable until 9:00 a.m. (EST) on Monday, November 8, 2021. During that time period, the Court’s electronic filing system is considered “inaccessible” for purposes of computing time. See Fed. R. Civ. P. 6(a)(3).

Emergency filings requesting judicial action between noon on November 5, 2021 and 9:00 a.m. on November 8, 2021, may be submitted by email to: EmergencyFilings@innd.uscourts.gov. All emergency filings must include an email address and phone number where the filer may be reached.

Attorneys are reminded that a feature of the NextGen system is Central Sign-On functionality, which allows attorneys to use one account to e-file in all NextGen courts (appellate, bankruptcy, and district) in which they practice, and to log into PACER nationwide. Attorneys should prepare well in advance to ensure their individual accounts are properly setup for the NextGen system. See https://www.innd.uscourts.gov/cmecf-next-generation-nextgen.
