The United States District Court for the Northern District of Indiana does not accept cash but accepts the following payment types at our intake counters: Personal Check, Money Order, and Credit/Debit Card (Visa, MasterCard, or Discover). When paying with a credit or debit card, the customer must present a driver’s license to the cashier who ensures that the name on the ID matches the name on the card. Card terminals and check scanners are installed at each intake counter to permit the efficient deposit and receipting of payments. Checks and money orders made out to the United States District Court for the Northern District of Indiana are also accepted by mail.
