The United States District Court is in the Robert A. Grant U.S. Courthouse, located at 204 S MAIN Street, South Bend, Indiana.
JURY / VISITOR PARKING:The closest parking lot or garage is the Leighton Garage, 109 W Jefferson Blvd, South Bend, IN 46601, which is located immediately north of the Courthouse and is designated by a large blue overhead parking sign. DO NOT park in spaces on the street which are limited to a few minutes or a couple hours and do NOT park in the Wayne Street Garage, located south of the Courthouse because it is limited to monthly parkers. FROM THE INDIANA EAST-WEST TOLL ROAD (I - 90) via U.S. HWY 31:
Exit the TOLL ROAD (I - 90) onto U.S. HIGHWAY 31 / 33 (MICHIGAN Street) SOUTH bound at exit # 77. Travel SOUTH on MICHIGAN Street for several miles, until the street jogs to the RIGHT (becomes MAIN Street). Continue traveling SOUTH on MAIN Street through four (4) traffic lights to the intersection of MAIN Street and JEFFERSON where the courthouse is located.
FROM THE WEST ON U.S. HWY 20:
U.S. HIGHWAY 20 from the WEST becomes LINCOLNWAY at it approaches the city. Continue traveling EAST on HWY 20 to U.S. HWY 31 / 33 or MAIN Street. Turn RIGHT (SOUTH) onto MAIN Street and proceed to the third intersection which is MAIN Street and JEFFERSON where the courthouse is located.
FROM THE EAST ON U.S. HWY 20:
U.S. HWY 20 from the EAST becomes COLFAX Avenue as it approaches the city. Continue traveling WEST on COLFAX to the second traffic light after crossing the river which is MAIN Street. Turn LEFT (SOUTH) onto MAIN Street and proceed to the second intersection which is MAIN Street and JEFFERSON where the courthouse is located.
FROM THE WEST ON HWY 2 (WESTERN AVENUE):
Travel EAST on HWY 2 (WESTERN Avenue) to LAFAYETTE Street (in downtown SOUTH BEND). Turn LEFT (NORTH) onto LAFAYETTE Street and travel two blocks to JEFFERSON BLVD. Turn RIGHT (EAST) onto JEFFERSON BLVD., and travel one block to the intersection of MAIN Street and JEFFERSON where the courthouse is located.
FROM THE SOUTH ON STATE ROAD 23 (PRAIRIE AVENUE):
Travel NORTHWARD on STATE ROAD 23 (PRAIRIE AVENUE which changes to CHAPIN Street at SAMPLE Street) to WESTERN Avenue. Turn RIGHT (EAST) onto WESTERN Avenue and travel approximately 1-1/2 miles to LAFAYETTE Street. Turn LEFT ( NORTH) onto LAFAYETTE Street and travel two blocks to JEFFERSON BLVD. Turn RIGHT (EAST) onto JEFFERSON BLVD., and travel one block to the intersection of MAIN Street and JEFFERSON where the courthouse is located.
FROM THE SOUTH ON U.S. HWY 31:
Travel NORTH on U.S. HWY 31 (MICHIGAN Street) which will turn into ST. JOSEPH Street) to JEFFERSON BLVD., (CENTURY CENTER is on the RIGHT). Turn LEFT (WEST) onto JEFFERSON BLVD., and travel two blocks to the intersection of MAIN Street and JEFFERSON where the courthouse is located.
FROM THE EAST ON U.S. HWY 33:
U.S. HWY 33 from the EAST becomes LINCOLNWAY as it approaches the city. Continue traveling along U.S. HWY 33, which turns into MONROE Street, until it intersects with MICHIGAN Street (U.S. HWY 31 /33 NORTH). Turn RIGHT (NORTH) onto MICHIGAN Street and travel NORTH approximately one mile to JEFFERSON BLVD. (MICHIGAN will turn into ST. JOSEPH Street.). Turn LEFT (WEST) onto JEFFERSON BLVD., and travel two blocks to the intersection of MAIN Street and JEFFERSON where the courthouse is located.
