After a Petition to Enter a Plea of Guilty or a Notice of Intent to Plead Guilty is filed, the Court will refer the case to the magistrate judge assigned to the case to conduct a change of plea hearing, with the consent of the parties. For those times when a change of plea is filed within a week of trial, the District Court Judge will make a determination whether she will refer the plea to the Magistrate Judge or conduct the plea hearing herself. A sentencing date will be set by separate order.
