Attorneys may direct inquiries to the case manager or law clerks concerning the status of a case, scheduling, reported settlements, and other matters not related to the merits of the case. Attorneys are not to discuss the merits of a case with court staff. Should counsel email chambers about a case, all other parties should be copied on the email.
