Counsel in cases before Judge Van Bokkelen are expected to adhere to the Seventh Circuit's Standards for Professional Conduct.

Counsel should not exhibit familiarity with witnesses, jurors, or opposing counsel. The use of first names is discouraged. During argument to the jury, no juror should be addressed individually or by name.
