Judge DeGuilio: Decorum and Civility

The Court is an ardent supporter of the Circuit's Standards for Professional Conduct and expects counsel to keep those standards in mind throughout their participation in any case on his docket.

Counsel should not exhibit familiarity with witnesses, jurors, or opposing counsel. The use of first names is discouraged. During argument to the jury, no juror should be addressed individually or by name.
