Judge Moody: Defense Pretrial Motions (Criminal)

- Non-dispositive motions go before the Magistrate Judge assigned to the case. This includes motions to continue criminal trials. Thus, the motion and form order should go to the Magistrate Judge.

- The major exception to this rule is that motions to continue sentencings and suppression hearings go before the Judge Moody, so the motion and form order should be sent to the Judge Moody's Chambers.

- If requesting a continuance, please specify what time period is needed in the motion (e.g. 30 days, 60 days, etc.).
